Education

We are currently fully booked for visits until Easter, and will take bookings again in the new autumn term.

The Essex Police Museum has an education programme for schools to tie in with the current national curriculum and can be downloaded by clicking the link above.

Our sessions are aimed at KS1 and Ks2 and encourage cross-curricular learning. We cover Crime and Punishment,  Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), People Who Help Us and Local History (Victorians & WW2).

All our sessions are delivered by our curator, Becky Wash.

The Essex Police Museum is also a great venue for special educational needs groups, with full wheelchair access and a wide variety of interactive and multi-sensory displays, and the ability to tailor visits to your needs.

To book please call 01245 457 150 or email museum@essex.pnn.police.uk

Resources

For free-to-use, high quality photos from our museum collection to use prior or following a visit, you may wish to visit the E2BN Gallery.

We offer a loans / topic box service, if you find it difficult to visit us. Details can be found in the education programme above.

We also suggest some great apps to encourage digital learning:
